"Anything that excites me I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual."
-Edward Weston
My casual interest in photography quickly developed into a passion after my younger daughter left the nest college-bound.
Motivated by my love of black and white photography, I have studied the art and craft of fine art photography since that time. Good fortune has allowed me to study with a number of respected contemporary photographers (i.e., Bruce Barnbaum, John Paul Caponigro, Keith Carter, Sandra Russell Clark, Ron Harris, Ron Rosenstock, Victoria Ryan, and George Schuab).
I capture my images digitally and print with pigment inks on archival fine art papers. Producing images that reflect what I felt at the time of pressing the shutter release is my desire.
These portfolios represent some of my experiences as I have wandered throughout my native state … and beyond.
